Such a wonderful expression of the Listán Blanco grape variety, otherwise known as Palomino Fino in mainland Spain and other parts of the world. An aromatic nose, with notes of ripe peach and apricot. Green pear on the palate with a textured, saline, long finish from spending 4 months on its lees.

A refined, light golden straw colour with a fine lively mousse and a great complexity of aromatics. Pronounced and rich yeasty tones on entry, layered with bright green lime zest to citrus aromas from the Chardonnay. Followed by raspberry notes and sweet sour cherry fruit aromas, from the Pinot Noir. Brilliant brightness due to long lees ageing with well-structured layers. Bright long lingering finish.

No introductions are required for Mr and Mrs Bubbles themselves. Ann, the owner, and Pieter, the winemaker, at Pieter Ferreira are nothing short of South African legends. 

Pieter has always been a fearless boundary breaker when it comes to producing some of the world’s best bubbly – his journey started out with three harvests in Champagne before returning to South Africa where he chairs the Cap Classique Association and is a member of the Cape Winemakers Guild. The Extra Brut 2017 is no exception to his rule of excellence.

The 2018 vintage produced Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with great elegance. This release offers wonderful balance, ripe fruit and restraint. The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were hand-selected and hand-picked. After whole bunch pressing with the separation of cuvée from the taille the clear juice was fermented in stainless steel. Only cuvée juice is used for fermentation. After the first fermentation, the wine was blended and prepared for secondary fermentation in the bottle. The wine stays on the lees for 54 months and then is riddled and disgorged.

We recommend decanting this wine to reveal an olfactory wave of glazed cherries, red currants, violets and mulberries, woven into a tapestry of fine French oak tones of cedar, freshly roasted coffee and bay.

Passel Estate, founded by Wendy and Barry Stimpson, is in the heart of the spectacular Margaret River region. Their 6Ha vineyards are surrounded by an impressive granite outcrop and pristine bushland of ancient flora. Fresh and zesty nose with notes of citrus, peach, and a hint of honeysuckle. The palate is lightly honeyed and textural with ripe lemon characters balanced by crisp acidity, and with a touch of white spice and a fresh, mineral finish.

80% of the must is fermented in stainless steel at 16/18 °C and 20% in lightly toasted tonneau. Fermentation lasts 15 days and is followed by 8 months on the lees, and a further 2 months in bottle before release.

A great starting point if you're just discovering sake. this is made with Gohyakumangoku rice milled down to 60% of its original size. Light, delicate and complex with a creamy mouthfeel and tropical fruit notes.

The 2021 Barbaresco is a gorgeous, deep wine. Although the aromatics are a bit
closed, the 2021 shows gorgeous depth and a touch more palate presence than is
typically the case for this bottling. Dark and enveloping, the 2021 will offer a number
of years of very fine drinking. It is an impressive, classy wine from Produttori del
Barbaresco.

Rich, complex and voluptuous Chenin stony soils, with a warm, dry climate and sea breeze unique to the Malgas region of South Africa. Fresh fruit and complex mineral  flavours, this wine carries on for a long time on the finish.

Yuzu fruit soaked in Ginjo-grade sake give a wonderfully vibrant citrus flavours with a hint of mint.

This property has historical importance, being farmed by a pioneering family of the wine industry in the Uco Valley. The Italian José Zingaretti immigrated to Argentina at the beginning of the 20 th century, bringing along his knowledge of vine growing and winemaking from his homeland. He was one of the first settlers of Tupungato, which at the time was a remote and nearly inaccessible area. This wine comes from vines of more than 80 years old. Aged for 18 months in a combination of new, second and third use French oak barrels. 50% of the wine underwent full malolactic and 50% partial. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Only 400 cases made. Drinking beautifully now or hold for up to 6 years.

After visiting Argentina in 1989, Californian trail-blazer Paul Hobbs became deeply interested in both the terroir and Argentine culture, noticing the unique potential for Malbec and other varietals in the region. After meeting two kindred spirits, Andrea Marchiori and Luis Barraud, they founded Viña Cobos in 1997 and since then there has been no looking back. Utilising gnarly old vines, careful vineyard selection, very low yields and an unerring empathy for the raw materials, Viña Cobos craft intense yet balanced wines that showcase the elegance and beauty of this region. The wines from Cobos have branched into four different brands – Felino, Bramare appellation, Bramare Single Vineyard and the super premium Cobos. Binding all of the wines from Viña Cobos is the true identity of each variety and the unique terroir of Mendoza, truly world class wines from a world class producer.

Carema is high on the northern border of the alpine region Aosta in northern Piedmont. It is made of Nebbiolo grown on glacial soil in this high altitude region which creates powerful, perfumed wines with delicate fruit. 

Pale ruby to tawny. Complex and elegant nose of small, wild red fruits, forest undergrowth, crushed stones and hints of cinnamon. Weightless palate, light to medium body, refined with lively acidity, noble tannins and a long spicy finish.

A wonderful new addition to our range of English wines. Husband and wife team Umut and Katie Yesil manage their Essex vineyard with a low-intervention and sustainable approach. They don’t use herbicides and manage the vineyard mechanically rather than chemically where possible, to protect soil health and biodiversity which is hugely important to them. 

Intense red cherry fruit aromas on the nose and palate. This ‘baby Barolo’ is made from Nebbiolo grapes from selected sites in the Langhe region giving a delicious, medium bodied wine  with garnet highlights and a wonderful scent of ripe prunes. This is a really well-balanced wine, rounded and smooth, and expresses the typical characteristics of the Nebbiolo varietal and its terroir.
