This elegant rose uses exclusively the free run juice of Pinotage, which is the first collected must when the grapes are moved into the press, essentially allowing the grapes to be crushed by gravity, ensuring a minimal extraction of colour from skins and also preserve the natural acidity. This style of production is typically very delicate giving fine, soft and very fruity wines. Rose gold in colour with aromas of fresh red fruits and floral notes. The palate is crisp and full of flavours of raspberry, strawberry and grapefruit, finishing with a distinctive savoury minerality.

Black Elephant Vintners call themselves ‘Rebels of the Vine’ and are pushing the boundaries of a traditional industry and having fun with their wines as seen by their labels. Based in the quaint village of Franschhoek, Kevin, Jacques and Raymond came together to combine their diverse skills and creativity to make great wine. They took inspiration from their surnames to become the Black Elephant Vintners - Swart and Ndlovu become `Black Elephant` and Jacques is the Vintner! Their wines are inspired by good tunes and they firmly believe that music and wine make the best pairing - far from traditional and very Rock ‘n’ Roll!

This sparkling wine was made using the oldest method, dating back to the 15th century, Methode Ancestrale. Never disgorged, no added sulphites in the wine, and minimal intervention allows for maximum character. Pomegranate, fynbos and the most delicate of brioche on the nose, with a mouth-filling bubble burst.

With spice, apricot and plum on the nose this wine is filled out by the vanilla and honey on the tongue. The high acidity of this wine keeps it fresh and bright despite the sweetness.

The Gil family have been major wine producers in Jumilla since the early 20th Century. Bodegas Juan Gil is dedicated to producing powerful, yet approachable and modern wines, mainly based on Monastrell (aka Mourvedre) which is grown on about 80% of the vineyard.

The winery has invested heavily in its Organic and Sustainability programmes in recent years.

Made by traditional Burgundian winemaking methods: the various blocks were picked at different stages. Approximately 1/3 of the grapes were put at the bottom of the fermentation vats as whole bunches, with the balance being destemmed on top. When fermentation completed, the grape remnants were left to steep in the wine for up to a week, followed by gentle pressing and transfer to oak barriques (40% new). Following a natural malo-lactic fermentation, and maturation for 18mths, the batches from the many
different plots and clones were carefully blended. The bouquet evokes black cherries, raspberries and mulberries, interlaced with savoury hints of grilled mushrooms, barbequed meats and wood-smoke.

Despite the threat of Phyllloxera and the property narrowly avoiding grubbing up to be used as a permanent dairy farm, the vineyard ultimately prevailed. Rated a 5 star producer by James Halliday, Yering Station create beautiful cool climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and expands our Australian selection to include one of the best vineyards in Yarra Valley.

An excellent example of Xinomavro with its complex bouquet of small berried red fruits, red cherry, leather, pepper, clove and sweet vanilla spice showing great typicity. Ruby red in colour. Structured and beautifully balanced with rounded tannins and well-integrated oak, with a touch of fennel on the finish.

Giuaani Winery is located in the historic village of Manavi, the heartland of Georgian wine producing region, Kakheti. The Manavi village, cradled by the southern slopes of the minor Caucasus, is a home to one of the 29 PDOs (Protected Denomination of Origin) of Georgia. Its unique soil composition and microclimate provides perfect conditions for vine cultivation, especially for Kakhuri Mtsvane grape variety, and for the production of Manavi PDO white dry wines.

Made solely from Chardonnay, this is a serious and elegant Crémant du Jura. On the nose it is creamy; on the palate well balanced with good depth and classic Champagne-esque toasted brioche flavours and creamy notes evident again, giving this complex wine an appealing softness.

Domaine de Désiré Petit’s Crémant is made using the ‘methode traditionelle’, from Chardonnay purposely grown on poor soils to maintain good acidity in the wine. Bottling is generally carried out during the January to March following harvest, after which the wine spends 12 to 15 months on its lees before disgorgement and dosage of 0.6cl per litre.

Stunning, concentrated  barrel fermented white Grenache, from very old vines in the Swartland. Aromatic on the nose with stone fruit and hints of floral notes with a touch of minerality on the palate, long finish. Very limited production of only 9 barrels.

On a picturesque hillside overlooking a dam, where Golden Delicious and Granny Smith
Orchards once stood, 12 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Malbec and Pinot Noir can now be found.

Paul Wallace, who has worked as a viticultural consultant to many of South Africa’s top
estates, finally had his dream come true in 2003 - he purchased his family farm in Elgin
and, alongside his wife Nicky, put his life’s work to the test. Based on his belief that Elgin
would become one of South Africa’s premium cool climate regions, he threw caution
to the wind and pulled out groves of apple and pear trees, replacing them with vines.
As always, his advice proved sage, and Paul Wallace is now producing some incredibly
exciting wines that show exceptional finesse and clarity.

Porseleinberg is the result of Marc Kent’s search for the best Syrah grapes, a journey
that inevitably took him to the Swartland. It was here that Kent found an isolated and
windswept wine farm perched atop the Porseleinberg mountain.
The site is now recognised as one of the greatest Syrah vineyards in the world.

The 4th vintage of applying the submerged cap technique, which continues to emphasise Porseleinberg's unique tannin profile. A reserved start is noticeable, after which the wine opens to red and black fruit, with a mineral and savoury spice. A crunchy, dry and grippy, yet fine tannin soundly carries the fruit to cover ones palate. The finish is long and fresh with good fruit concentration and some salty minerality. Drink from 2031-35. Biodynamically farmed, no added sulphites(or natural, if you prefer) limited production wine. Intense garnet red colour with violet hues. It displays varietal characteristics of Barbera. Very complex aroma and flavour of ripe blackberries, forest undergrowth, plums, liquorice, graphite. A rich, full body with an exceptionally long aftertaste and pleasing freshness.
