Carmenere is a black grape variety, mostly planted in Chile (but originated in Bordeaux, France). In this wine one shall find red-and-black berry flavours and herbaceous green pepper notes.
It would have flavours of raspberry, bell pepper, black plum, vanilla, paprika. It`s medium in body, with medium tannins, and medium-high acidity.
Decant for 30 minutes.
Food to pair: grilled meats with savory sauces, roast pork, darker white meats, including turkey and duck.
