The climate is characterised by high temperatures all year round, very little rainfall and a wide temperature range between night and day, which has a positive influence on the quality of the grapes. This is the central area of d.o.p. “Primitivo di Manduria”.

The Cline Live Oak Zinfandel is named after Live Oak Road in Oakley, California. The vineyards run adjacent to this road and consistently produce some of their most complex, concentrated and unique lots of Zinfandel. Cline Cellars has chosen to farm this vineyard in the same way the Italian and Portuguese immigrants did when they planted their ancient vineyards at the end of the 19th century, by dry-farming and head-pruning.

The Ridge Vineyards began in 1885 when Dr Perrone bought 180 acres near the top of Monte Bello Ridge. He terraced the slopes and planted vineyards, as well as constructing the winery out of native limestone. Ridge Vineyards is one of the most prestigious wineries in California and is famous for the 1976 judgement of Paris where a panel of European experts judged the Ridge Monte Bello to be superior to some of Bordeaux's finest wines.

Aromas and flavours of blackberry, blueberry, and ripe raspberry with baking spice, cocoa powder, and cracked black pepper.

A special red from Dry Creek. Their vines are grown from cuttings taken from pre-prohibition old-vine Zinfandel vineyards and grafted onto new root stocks to preserve the historic, resilient clones of the variety.

Rob Fischer, a Napa native, started his winemaking career at Domaine Carneros then Donum estate, Etude, Lyric and Beaulieu Vineyards. Along with owner Baron Ziegler they built a strong network of relationships in Sonoma County and in 2014, when they were offered a parcel of grapes that weren’t going into production, Valravn was born. Today Valravn has spread its wings finding a vineyard parcel here and a row there to craft quintessential Sonoma County wines that are out of the gate approachable, delicious and ready to drink.
