Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc is a black grape variety. It`s a parent grape of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Carménère. There are flavours of strawberry, raspberry, bell pepper, crushed gravel, chilli pepper.

The wine would be from medium to full in body, with high tannins, and high acidity.

Food to pair: tomato-based dishes, vinegar-based sauces, rich veggies like black beluga lentils, goat’s cheeses, eggplant parmigiana, light meats, like chicken or turkey, roasted meats such as roasted lamb, wild game, and rich lentil stews.
