Grapes for this wine were sourced in two parcels – the first from Stellenbosch, which was fermented in stainless steel tanks, the second, from the Swartland, was fermented in older French oak barrels. These components were then blended together to create a deliciously fresh, fruit forward chenin.

Aromas of fresh hazelnuts, candle wax, citrus (lemon and lime) herbs, white peach and granny smith apple.
The palate is powerful and concentrated with fresh acidity, saltiness and a chalky minerality on the very long finish.

The Kalkofen vineyard is located on the western edge of the town of Deidesheim, which is in the heart of the Palatinate wine growing area. The name of the vineyard, Kalkofen, is an old limestone-brick oven in the middle-ages. There is a high content of limestone in this part of the area, which gives a lot of minerality to the vines and is noticeable in the fine wines produced from these Grand Cru (Grosse Lage) vineyards.

Aromas and flavours of citrus fruit, passion-fruit and greengages, cut grass with a hint of dried herbs. It has a crisp, dry finish and a lingering after-taste on the palate.

Passel Estate, founded by Wendy and Barry Stimpson, is in the heart of the spectacular Margaret River region. Their six hectares of vineyards are surrounded by an impressive granite outcrop and a pristine nature reserve of ancient flora. Sea breezes from the Indian Ocean provide calming relief in the hot summer months and this special location not only produces some of the region’s finest wine grapes, but also provides sanctuary to the endangered Western Ringtail Possum, whose collective noun is a "Passel”!

Food Match: We love this wine for its complexity of aromatics and concentration of flavours on the palate. White fish with fresh asparagus or Samphire is a great pairing.

A wonderful classic example of Soave at its very freshest, zesty best!

The estate was founded in 1865 and is still run by the third generation of the same family. Their focus is on native grape varieties Nerello Mascalese, Nero Cappucci, Carricante and Catarratto, while their winemaking style is more modern in its approach, with lower alcohol and more emphasis on fruit.

A special and unique wine from the volcanic Spanish island of Tenerife. An aromatic nose of peach, pears, quince and apricot and sea water. On the palate this rare wine is concentrated and textured with hints of flint and smoke and a saline, long finish.

From a cool, high altitude (390m) monopole vineyard, this is a fresher take on the 2020 vintage compared to most.
