Hand harvested and completely destemmed, the wine was fermented and aged in the amphoras in contact with skins and lees. The inside of our amphoras is coated with natural tree resin according to the ancient process used by the Romans 2000 years ago. The wine has not been filtered or stabilised.

Rich, ripe and full of mulberry fruit character with a silky round tannic structure. Beautifully made low intervention wine.

Made from Saperavi, a highly pigmented black Georgian grape variety which is fermented and aged in a Qvevri - an ancient method of making winein an egg-shaped, beeswax-lined terracotta vessel.The wine is a deep ruby colour with a pronounced black fruit character and balanced tannins.

Such a great quality Rueda, full of luscious flavours. 

Lemony freshness with hints of rich, ripe pineapple, nectarine and fresh apricot. The palate is wonderfully luscious and viscous, well integrated, with flavours of lemon marmalade and ripe stone fruit.

Wonderfully well balanced, pure, juicy and ripe Montepulciano.

Ruby red in colour with a strong fruity scent, containing hints of spices, cherry plum and jam. Well balanced and plenty of length. This is a rich, deeply savoury, complex version of that old Italian classic.

We love this orange wine with it's pale amber colour. Beautifully pure and textured palate with fresh nuttiness and fine spices. Tangerine and a hint of marmalade and lovely pure citrus fruits. Juicy linear and expressive with a salty tang on the finish.

Winemaker Andre is always interested in experimenting with new and old methods. He is the 5th generation of winemakers at Quinta do Montalto, the farm has 15Ha of Vineyards grown with organic certification since 1997 in Clay and Chalk soils under the Lisbon DOC Encostas D’Aire.
He uses ancient methods the create DOC Medieval Ourem, but also made new Portuguese Amphoras and uses the most modern low intervention techniques for his traditional range.

A rich and textured white wine with great depth and complexity given from being made in clay amphora. Matches beautifully with antipasto and meat dishes, but equally very friendly drunk without food.

Incrocio Bruni 54 is a crossing by pollenation of Sauvignon Blanc and Verdicchio which was done in 1936 by Professor Bruno Bruni while working for the Italian Ministry of Agriculture. It is only found in the Marche region and Tenuta Santi Giacomo e Filippo are championing it as Marche's flagship grape. Rightly so!

This expressive, barrel-fermented Viognier seduces you with the beautiful perfume of honeysuckle and orange blossom and a textured palate of apricot, kiwi and pineapple.

Argentina has almost made the Malbec grape its own and on this evidence it's not difficult to see why. A port style wine, red purple colour of medium intensity, with light brown hues due to its ageing. Immensely concentrated, ripe plums, black fruits marmalade, dried figs and nuts. A rich, complex wine with final spicy notes like cinnamon, toasted almonds and leather.

Zuccardi combines forward thinking with a deeply rooted wine culture to craft wines of unique quality and identity. At the heart of this family winery is the drive to continually improve and with Sebastian Zuccardi heading up their 'Innovation and Experimentation' program, they are literally taking quality to new heights. After many months of building and many years of planning the breath taking new winery, in Altamira in the Uco Valley, is all but complete. At 1100 metres above sea level with the Andes as it's stunning backdrop, a new chapter in the history of Zuccardi is beginning. This is one of the most exciting producers to work with. Their understanding of the soils and terroirs of the Uco Valley is reflected in their beautifully expressive wines.

Ripe, soft, elegant dried berry fruit and toasty oak flavours. 2014 was a great vintage with plenty of oak and bottle ageing, this is a classic style Gran Reserva.

Andreas Wine

Andreas only produce this wine - and they are good at it. The wine is aged for 18 months in French and American oak and bottle matured for another year. Winemaker Shaun Meyeridricks' first first vintage was in 2018, since joining Andreas from Boekenhoutskloof where he was previously making exemplary Shiraz.

Aromas and flavours of red fruits and vanilla. Fruity on the palate, balanced by notes of sweet spice, chocolate and vanilla oak.

The Elgin Valley is one of the coolest regions in South Africa and is famous for making wonderfully refreshing and classy white wines.

Fragrance of pure white grapefruit, intense tropical fruit, ripe gooseberry and fleshy kiwi fruit over-lay Iona’s distinctive herbal and floral undertone. The palate is keenly balanced showing cut green apples and lime marmalade followed by great minerality and length.

At 420m above sea-level, set high above the picturesque Elgin Valley, Iona includes some of the coolest vineyards in the Cape. This creates an extremely long growing season, harvesting up to 2 months after Stellenbosch, which results in diverse, complex flavours and fresh, elegant wines. The philosophy at Iona is to make wines that reflect the soil and climate as closely as possible. They make use of sustainable farming methods and use natural products wherever possible in the winemaking.

Very elegant old world style of Sauvignon. Clean, fresh and steely with beautiful minerality on the finish.

Rod McDonald is a New Zealand winemaking legend who arrived in Hawke's Bay 25 years ago as a green cellarhand. Following a stint at Villa Maria he became winemaker at Vidal before setting off on a solo adventure to craft the most compelling and exciting wines from the wide variety of soils throughout the region. 
Rod has chosen to farm organically to allow his wines to really represent both the land the grapes are grown on and the people who make them.

This Sauvignon Blanc from the Western Cape displays fresh, ripe yellow fruit flavours with a hint of waxy lime, as well as some leafy herbal notes which make for a zippy, racy and deeply quaffable drop.
