Dornier is a family owned winery that is situated in the Golden Triangle area of the famous Upper Blaauwklippen Valley in Stellenbosch - their prestigious neighbours are
De Trafford, Keermont and Waterford, so they are in fine company. The property was home to one of the first wineries in Stellenbosch, having been completed in the late 1600s, as well as an historic Sir Herbert Baker home. 

The winemaking philosophy at Dornier is to produce premium quality wines, with minimal intervention in the winery, that are expressive of the unique terroir of the Golden Triangle and showcase the complexity and finesse of the noble grape varietals planted on the farm..

The stone fruit and tropical citrus flavours are enhanced by an extended cool fermentation and pleasant acidity. Long and mouth-filling.

Smooth full-bodied red wine has velvety soft tannins, with classic aromas and flavours of blackcurrant, fruits of the forest, vanilla and warm spices.

True to the name “Whole Berry” the grapes used to make this wine are fermented uncrushed. Fermentation lasts 2-3 weeks, with punching down and pumping over occurring 3 times daily to aid colour and flavour extraction. 100% malolactic fermentation is carried out. The wine is then matured in second fill French oak barrels for 1 year before bottling. The wine is bottled without filtration or stabilisation and ages in bottle for at least 1 year before release.

Springfield Estate goes against the grain in order to make sure the drinking experience is perfect at the consumer end and sustainable at its end. The wines are all about the rocky, unforgiving terroir of Robertson, and stand head and shoulders above most producers for sheer quality.

Wonderful, ripe and warming wine, full of sunshine and brightness. Subtle hints of sweet spice, coffee grounds and milk chocolate on the finish. Yummy.

Astonishingly good Riesling from an outstanding New Zealand producer. Concentrated, explosive in the mouth! Dry, flavoursome Riesling with honeysuckle notes, aromatic nectarine, baked peach, apricot, lime and preserved lemon. One glass will not be enough!

Pegasus Bay Riesling Bel Canto 2022 – 94 points.

The 2022 Bel Canto Dry Riesling leads with loquat, kumquat and orange rind. In the mouth, the wine is floral, detailed and full—it is actually quite wide, spreading to all corners of the mouth, leaving a trail of fine chalky texture in its wake. Really good. This Sauvignon Blanc from the Western Cape displays fresh, ripe yellow fruit flavours with a hint of waxy lime, as well as some leafy herbal notes which make for a zippy, racy and deeply quaffable drop.

The coastal region of South Africa is renowned for its fine and expressive fruit. Produced from only free-­run juice and fermented on skins in stainless steel tanks. The wine is left on the lees for an extended period for greater palate weight and mouthfeel.

Vegan. The Sauvignon Blanc is fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks between 11C and 13C. The ferment is likely to last around 10 days. The wine is racked after ferment and then kept on fine lees right up until bottling.

You would be barking mad not to try this wine....
