Organic

Amoterra means to ‘love the land’, this is the vineyards ethos. The harvesting period of the Trebbiano starts from the second week of September. As soon as the grapes arrive in the cellar they are crushed and de-stemmed, then softly pressed. Cold maceration for 24 hours at 8 degrees. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel for about 10-15 days.

Inspired by the Australian night, this is darkly appealing, chocolatey Malbec with an abundance of crisp, minerally fruit.

Caiaffa are certified organic, they do not use insecticides or pesticides in order to encourage a balanced ecosystem. The rare grape variety Fiano Minutolo was previously confused with the variety Fiano D'Avellino from the Campania region. In 2001 DNA evidence showed that the varietal is infact related to the Muscat family.

This wine comes from Adega Ponte de Barca who were founded in 1963 right in the middle of Vinho Verde. A region itself with over 2000 years of winemaking history.

The winery commits itself to the principle that ‘the origin counts’ and being inspired by this history they work with wine growers to produce scintillating, fresh wines that helped put the region on the map.

Strawberry and red fruits, crisp fresh and fruity , with notes of raspberry on the palate.

From Paarl vineyards grown on sandy loams, where picking early is crucial to finesse this tricky cultivar’s essential notes of blueberry, bramble and natural leafiness. An accomplished Merlot, correct yet moreish in the glass.

Aromatic intensity, with ageing notes (vanilla, roast, spices), very ripe fruit, caramel and subtle hints of leather and fallen leaves, characteristic of a prolonged period in bottle. Long and silky on the palate.

This accessible Super Tuscan has an elegant bouquet of leather, black cherries, liquorice and plums leading to a medium to full-bodied palate where ripe red fruit show off the goût de terroir in addition to subtle notes of vanilla and violets, which harmonise and linger, interlacing with the soft tannins and gorgeous silky texture. Monte Antico was established in the early 1970s and takes their name from the medieval town of the same name located in Maremma, just a short distance from Montalcino towards the sea.

Concentrated cassis and plum with a hint of liquorice. Some evolved secondary and tertiary characteristics of forest floor leaves and tobacco.  A classic, elegant Bordeaux red drinking very well now.

On the west side of Sicily close to Marsala, Cantine Rallo has its vineyards and winery.

This ‘Orange’ wine is bright yet slightly cloudy in colour thanks to the natural approach to winemaking; with no stabilisation, fining or filtration resulting in a wine with very low sulphur levels. The bouquet is a beautiful mix of citrus, grapefruit, apple and white flesh fruits that follows onto the palate. Complemented by Mediterranean herbs and a backbone of fresh acidity.

Owned and run by Lawrence Warr, Henners is the result of a long term dream to produce the finest English Sparkling Wine. Lawrence started his career as an automotive engineer in the exciting world of Formula One. Having left Formula One, to set up an engineering consultancy, the search for the perfect vineyard site began. The search  was a lengthy and dedicated one - as the ideal combination of soils, aspect, slope, altitude and microclimate was difficult to find. After two years he found the site at Herstmonceux, East Sussex. The vineyard was planted in May 2007, with the winery following in 2009.
