Zephyr Wines is a family winery based in Dillon’s Point, Marlborough and was started by the Glover family in 1985 after being inspired by other mavericks in the region to convert their farm to vine. They've never looked back and Owen and Wendy Glover, along with son Ben, one of New Zealand’s most acclaimed and talented winemakers, now produce award-winning wines from what has become one of the most established single vineyards in the region.  The critics are proving what we’ve known for a long time: that the Glover’s are styling something special out of Marlborough vines that no-one else has.

The 2025 Sauvignon Blanc can be served chilled with gazpacho, lime drizzled game fish, or lightly cooked shelled prawns. A parcel of fresh fish and chips with the waves of the ocean breaking in the background will best complement this fresh and lively wine.

The Sauvignon Blanc vineyards are planted in well drained blue shale at 200 metres above sea level on the Western slope of the Tygerberg, 7 kilometres from, and in sight of, the Atlantic Ocean. Employing the VSP trellis system, a typical harvest produces 7 to 8 tons per hectare.

De Grendel Wine

Clean and bright, with a pale yellow colour with green hues. Good intensity on the nose, with tropical fruit and citrus flavours. On the palate, fresh and round, balanced with a good acidity, and fresh fruit aromas.

Reg Holder started his career with vintages in France, Australia and the USA before
returning to South Africa. He then spent 11 years as the winemaker at both Neil Ellis and
Delheim. In 2015, while his wife was pregnant with their first child, he started experimenting with de-alcoholised wine for her. When they were expecting their second, in 2017, Reg decided that he was going to move full time into the Lautus de-alcoholised project.
He uses a state of the art piece of machinery that combines centrifugal force and a
vacuum in order to extract the alcohol while leaving the wines' volatile flavour and aromatic essence intact. Unquestionably the best de-alcoholised wine we have tried!

Dry, and citrussy with a long herbal, minerally finish. Fresh oregano, slightly saline.

Villa Tinta has been a family estate winery since 1998 when the winery foundation was laid and 500 hectares of family-owned vines were planted. The winery is situated in the Bolgrad district where winemaking was the source of life centuries ago.

Lemon yellow in colour. A fruity and intense nose, with hints of ripe bananas and tropical fruit like guava and kiwi. The palate is dry, medium-bodied, balanced with a long finish. A great example of elegant, unoaked Chardonnay from Northern Italy.

Domaine Ferrand is situated in the village of Solutre ­Pouilly, in the heart of the Pouilly Fuisse appelation of Southern Burgundy. The domaine now comprises of just over 11 hectares of vineyards that have been passed down from Father to Son over 3 generations. Today the domaine is run by Madame Nadine Ferrand whose wines have been well reviewed by the Guide Hachette.

A natural, beautifully golden sparkling wine. The aroma is dominated by apple, quince and citrus fruit notes. Medium-bodied, with a pleasantly fresh fruit-forward finish.

Jamie Goode in Wine Anorak: 12.5% alcohol. A blend of local white varieties from Pedra Alta’s highest plots. Complex and nicely restrained with taut lemony fruit and some notes of pear and white peach. Lively and precise with good acidity and nice purity, this has the potential to develop with time, and it’s almost Burgundian in style. 94/100 

A big fruit forward expression of Chardonnay backed up by elegant and balanced toasty, buttery notes from spending time in new and old oak barrels. A long, fresh and dry finish.
