A good dash of Semillon into this Sauvignon Blanc gives additional layers of complexity. 

This traditional French blend has aromas and flavours of citrus fruit, passion-fruit and greengages, cut grass with a hint of dried herbs.  The low crop levels have particularly emphasised the Semillon component in the wine, filling out the palate and giving good concentration as well as structure.  It has a crisp, dry finish and a lingering after-taste on the palate.

This viscous, mouth-filling wine offers notes of toast, red and green apples, caramel and almond.

Fermentation in new French barrels and 5 months battonage until bottling.

De Grendel Wine

De Grendel Brut Rosé has all the hallmarks of a traditional, meticulously constructed Cap Classique, with the added allure of being playful and exciting, Hopkins said. Complex and with a weightier palate than the average sparkling wine, this bone-dry rosé has a fine and persistent mousse introducing hints of oyster shell and fresh lavender on the nose. Intense strawberry coulis and black cherry flavours are well-balanced by firm acidity and linger in the exceptionally long finish.

Ripe stone fruit and toasted oak aromas with concentrated peach and citrus flavours. Subtle almond and toast nuances make this a sophisticated, rich and mouth-filling wine.

Hacienda el Ternero is a village which dates back to 1077 when it belonged to the Santa Maria de Herrerea Monastery. Notably, it is the only vineyard of DOC Rioja that lies within the region of Castilla y León. In 2009, the village was bought by the current owner. The 60 hectares of vineyards are in the Rioja Alta and sit at an altitude of 650m

With gentle aromas of rose petals and clementines, the restrained palate is lightly perfumed (as wild flower honey) and long.
