Undicicomuni" refers to the 11 (undici) communes (comuni) that make up the Barolo appellation, the Nebbiolo grapes for this wine come from across all 11 communes. Fermentation and maceration takes place for three weeks in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. Then there is 26 months of aging in large wooden casks followed by a further 6 months in concrete tanks.

Aromas of citrus zest, green apples, pear and white flowers. Beautifully balanced on the palate with fresh citrus, spice, toasted almonds and freshly baked brioche. Yeasty and complex with a long, dry finish.

This property has historical importance, being farmed by a pioneering family of the wine industry in the Uco Valley. The Italian José Zingaretti immigrated to Argentina at the beginning of the 20 th century, bringing along his knowledge of vine growing and winemaking from his homeland. He was one of the first settlers of Tupungato, which at the time was a remote and nearly inaccessible area. This wine comes from vines of more than 80 years old. Aged for 18 months in a combination of new, second and third use French oak barrels. 50% of the wine underwent full malolactic and 50% partial. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Only 400 cases made. Drinking beautifully now or hold for up to 6 years.

After visiting Argentina in 1989, Californian trail-blazer Paul Hobbs became deeply interested in both the terroir and Argentine culture, noticing the unique potential for Malbec and other varietals in the region. After meeting two kindred spirits, Andrea Marchiori and Luis Barraud, they founded Viña Cobos in 1997 and since then there has been no looking back. Utilising gnarly old vines, careful vineyard selection, very low yields and an unerring empathy for the raw materials, Viña Cobos craft intense yet balanced wines that showcase the elegance and beauty of this region. The grapes come from different locations on the island: La Geria, Masdache, and an estate located in Tisalaya. This wine is meant to reflect the island, its diverse landscapes, and the work of the different vine growers on their small plots, with vines from 10 to over 100 years old utilised.

A variety of production methods were used here, from direct pressing to maceration with skins, depending on the state of the grapes (health and ripeness). Some batches, after temperature controlled alcoholic fermentation with natural yeasts, underwent malolactic fermentation. Ageing is in stainless steel, resting for 10 months on lees, and bottles without filtration.

The 2021 Barbaresco is a gorgeous, deep wine. Although the aromatics are a bit
closed, the 2021 shows gorgeous depth and a touch more palate presence than is
typically the case for this bottling. Dark and enveloping, the 2021 will offer a number
of years of very fine drinking. It is an impressive, classy wine from Produttori del
Barbaresco.

Rich, complex and voluptuous Chenin stony soils, with a warm, dry climate and sea breeze unique to the Malgas region of South Africa. Fresh fruit and complex mineral  flavours, this wine carries on for a long time on the finish.

It has a vibrant bouquet with honeysuckle, Clementine and a touch of chamomile, blossoming in the glass. Gorgeously textured and slightly waxy on the finish, this will mature with style. 4Kilos was set up in 2006 by former Anima Negra winemaker Francesc Grimalt and musician Sergio Caballero. Grimalt rescued the Balearic variety Callet and they also have small amounts of local variety Fogoneu. Taking grapes from north and south Mallorca they vinify them in a converted sheep farm using a combination of stainless steel and open top oak fermenters. The name 4 Kilos comes from their initial investment of 4 million pesetas, which so far looks like money well spent. They work in a very low-intervention style, using only low/no sulphur and they harvest earlier than most with the goal of making fresh, but complex, wines that speak of the island they’re from.

Pale salmon pink in colour, bright and vibrant. Aromatics of wild raspberry, elderflower and pink grapefruit. Subtle hints of honeysuckle and jasmine. Refreshing, dry and clean finish.

Nestled in the rugged hills of the Catalan countryside, in the tiny village bearing its name, is the well-respected Celler de Capçanes. It was this wild Montsant landscape which first captivated Jürgen Wagner back in the early 90s, but the huge potential he recognised in this unique village co-operative that determined what followed. Pouring all his efforts into working with the growers to nurture the best from their vineyards and the most honest expressions of their terroir, Celler de Capçanes has established itself as one of the most engaging wineries in the area.

A much warmer site than ‘Clos Les Bussieres’, ‘Les Caraby’ is a small 1 hectare ‘clos’ tagged on to the end of Mercurey’s most famous premier cru, ‘Clos du Roy’. Almost always the first vineyard picked, this is a fast ripening site with its own little valley of both north and south facing vines. This vintage has produced a really well balanced wine with ripe tropical fruits jumping out of the apple and citrus background. Really good texture and weight. No new oak was used in this vineyard. Only one barrel produced. *Limited Availability*
