Tenuta Olim Bauda is one of Piedmont's top producers, run by the Bertolino Family since the 1960's. After Sr. Bertolino died in 1985, the winery shut for 15 years. But in 2000, his 3 children bought back what was sold off and have successfully revived the estate and the Tenute Olim Bauda name.

Light, straw yellow in colour. Aromas of  ripe, honeydew melon and peach; soft and full on the palate with a well balanced and long finish.

Organic

Amoterra means to ‘love the land’, this is the vineyards ethos. The harvesting period of the Trebbiano starts from the second week of September. As soon as the grapes arrive in the cellar they are crushed and de-stemmed, then softly pressed. Cold maceration for 24 hours at 8 degrees. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel for about 10-15 days.

Supple and sumptuous, ripe and ridiculously moreish. It's ready to drink Barolo baby!

Caiaffa are certified organic, they do not use insecticides or pesticides in order to encourage a balanced ecosystem. The rare grape variety Fiano Minutolo was previously confused with the variety Fiano D'Avellino from the Campania region. In 2001 DNA evidence showed that the varietal is infact related to the Muscat family.

Lightly aromatic with ripe stone fruit and citrus characters. A zesty, easy to drink dry white wine with considerable texture and soft, lightly honeyed fruit on the finish.

This ‘Orange’ wine is bright yet slightly cloudy in colour thanks to the natural approach to winemaking; with no stabilisation, fining or filtration resulting in a wine with very low sulphur levels. The bouquet is a beautiful mix of citrus, grapefruit, apple and white flesh fruits that follows onto the palate. Complemented by Mediterranean herbs and a backbone of fresh acidity.

Deep ruby red in colour with a violet hue. A vibrant nose of plum, cherry, violet, sweet spice and dried herbs. The palate has lots of fresh fruit flavours, including sour cherry and plum with refreshing acidity. The youthful fruit combines with spice and bitter chocolate notes giving a wine of depth and personality with a firm, dry and savoury finish - great served with food, perhaps lightly chilled.

Food Match: Italian meat based pasta dishes, carpaccio of beef and lightly grilled meats.

The Dolcetto grapes are sourced from Colla's Cascine Drago estate - where the average age of vines is 20 years, planted at around 350m altitude. The grapes are immediately destalked and crushed, and then macerated on the skins for 5-7 days. Malolactic fermentation is completed before winter sets in. The wine stabilises in stainless steel, and then rests for a few months in bottle.

Salmon pink with a fine and persistent perlage. Intense and aromatic on the nose with hints of red currant, wild strawberry and rose petal. This is elegant, smooth and velvety on the palate with a harmonious dry finish.

The Biscardo Family have been making wine from their base in Soave for over 150 years and are currently led by brothers Maurizio and Martino.

During the course of Maurizio's long and illustrious career, he has consulted for well known wineries around Italy and in doing so he came across the vineyards for their Puglian wines. Both the Pugliese and Veneto wines are characterised by an almost dangerous drinkability, aromatic purity and exceptional value for money.

Raspberry, strawberry and bitter cherry aromas and flavours with a dry, sour cherry finish. Great with pavlova or strawberries and cream. Don't limit this beverage to just dessert though - it will go well as an aperitif or with soft cheese after dinner or even a main course of roast chicken and potatoes!

Travaglini Tre Vigne is the result of extensive research of the best characteristics of soil, and the blend of three historical vineyards. The Nebbiolo grapes from these vineyards are harvested during the first half of October. The grapes are gently crushed and are macerated for around 15 days in stainless steel. Maturation takes place over a 40 month period; 30 months of which 80% in Slovenian Oak and 20% aged separately for 10 months in French Barrique. The rest of the aging is in bottle before release.

Clean and elegant, with notes of green apple, pear and white peach, citrus and floral hints.
Well-balanced, savoury and vibrant, with a crisp acidity and a saline finish.

This is a big and powerful red wine, very dark red in colour. The nose has plenty of dark fruit aromas, plums, black cherries, chocolate, dried fruit and slight herbaceous notes. The finish is has a touch of residual sugar, giving some natural sweetness, and is full, rich and lingering.

Single vineyard 'Dardi le Rose' is on the hill of Bussia, one of the great Barolo crus. The vines are grown at 300-350 metres above sea level, with a south westerly exposure.
