An interesting Sardinian wine made from the Cannonau (Grenache) grape variety.

A rich, full-flavoured red with blackberry and red cherry flavours followed by a soft, velvety smooth finish.

Intense ruby-red colour with a complex bouquet reminiscent of prunes, cherries and redcurrants.  The oak ageing adds a pleasant roasted and spicy aroma. On the palate it is full-bodied, supple and well-balanced with a long finish.

Completely untainted example of Nero D'Avola - just as nature intended!

The wine has a deep purple-red colour & intense aromas of blackberries & blueberries. The palate is soft & silky, bursting with spicy flavours of black pepper, dark chocolate, wild berries & vanilla.  The tannins are elegant yet persistent.  The finish is long & lingering and offers a burst of wild cherries at the end.

Fun Fact: Zensa in Italian means “without” referring to the absence of any chemicals or pesticides in the winemaking process.

The estate was founded in 1865 and is still run by the third generation of the same family. Grapes for this wine were sourced in two parcels – the first from Stellenbosch, which was fermented in stainless steel tanks, the second, from the Swartland, was fermented in older French oak barrels. These components were then blended together to create a deliciously fresh, fruit forward chenin.

.A beautiful salmon pink colour, this lovely rosé is fresh, clean and fruit driven. Yum!

You’ve probably heard of the quaint beach town of Hermanus, situated on South Africa’s famous Whale Coast. Between 1855 and 1902, it was called Hermanuspietersfontein. In 1902, the local postmaster decided to shorten the name of the town to make addressing letters to the locals easier.

150 years later, the wine farm Hermanuspietersfontein, or HPF for short, craft outstanding wines with a serious sense of place. Their grapes come from Sondagskloof (they produce 90% of WO Sondagskloof wine), which competes with Elgin and the Ceres Plateau for South Africa’s coolest wine growing region. This area is perfectly suited to Bordeaux varietals and, with the exception of Shiraz, is exclusively planted with them.

The Afrikaans wine names might look like a bit of a mouthful, but they are good fun; Bloos (‘blush’), Kaalvoet Meisie (‘barefoot girl’), Kat Met Die Houtbeen (‘cat with the wooden leg’), Posmeester (‘postmaster’), Kleinboet (‘little brother’) and Swartskaap (‘black sheep’).

Aromas and flavours of citrus fruit, passion-fruit and greengages, cut grass with a hint of dried herbs. It has a crisp, dry finish and a lingering after-taste on the palate.

Passel Estate, founded by Wendy and Barry Stimpson, is in the heart of the spectacular Margaret River region. Their six hectares of vineyards are surrounded by an impressive granite outcrop and a pristine nature reserve of ancient flora. Sea breezes from the Indian Ocean provide calming relief in the hot summer months and this special location not only produces some of the region’s finest wine grapes, but also provides sanctuary to the endangered Western Ringtail Possum, whose collective noun is a "Passel”!

Food Match: We love this wine for its complexity of aromatics and concentration of flavours on the palate. White fish with fresh asparagus or Samphire is a great pairing.

A rich amber colour. Fascinatingly complex with a light Christmas pudding nose of dried fruits, nuts, and a well flambéed crust. The rich concentrated flavours and tangy acidity are softened by a sweetness on the palate which brings it all together in a wonderfully balanced way.

The classic Cream is produced from an Oloroso that has been aged for 6 years, and then a portion of young PX is blended into the wine. After further ageing in the traditional solera and criadera system the sherry is bottled - with an average of 8 years barrel ageing in total. Serve slightly below room temperature.

 A dry, fruity, and pleasantly well balanced wine. Notes of cherry, plums, and liquorice with hints of spice such as pepper and cinnamon.

Seriously Cool Chenin Blanc is crafted from 30-40 year old bush-vine vineyards in the Helderberg area. The vineyards are close to the ocean, which ensure a long growing season and allows for ripe fruit with good concentration and a balanced acidity. Production from these grand dames of South African viticultural heritage is a miserly 4 tons/hectare. Waterkloof follow a traditional, minimalistic approach in their gravitational cellar which means interfering as little as possible with the winemaking process. 

Classic Gavi...gently floral and aromatic, dry white with green apple, lime and lightly herbal characters, typical of the Cortese grape. Ripe citrus fruit flavours combine with savoury notes to give a crisp, fresh white.
