Corpinnat is a Spanish wine designation for traditional method sparkling wines aged for a minimum of 18 months and made from manually harvested, organic or biodynamically farmed grapes in the Penedès. This is a very sophisticated, dry rosé that has fresh notes of strawberries and raspberries and a long elegant finish.

Perlato del Bosca means the Pearl of the forest, reffering in this case to the famous white marble of Carrara in Tuscany, not to the white truffles.

Liatiko is an indigenous Cretan grape variety , light ruby/garent in colour. The nose has a rich, ripe red fruit and sweet spice character. The palate is full, but has very soft tannins. 

Under organic conversion, this is a pale, shimmering ruby, hedonistic, unoaked light -coloured red with gorgeous perfumed, strawberry and raspberry liqueur notes, hints of game and fennel. Plump vibrant fruits, a refreshing thread of fine-pitched acidity, poised slightly grippy yet elegant tannins - hard to resist.

Great balance and fruit in this high quality Alsace Riesling.

A pure fruit driven nose, perfumed with cut limes and a hint of petrol and candle wax. The wine has a voluptuous, honeyed palate and is intensely fruity with white peach and apricot flavours and mineral complexity. The finish is dry, refreshing and beautifully balanced, and incredibly open for a young Alsace Riesling.

Raspberry red in colour, this grape variety, Otskhanuri Sapere, gives enticing aromas of plums, ripe berries with herbal and floral notes and a hint of balsamic. Full bodied, with balancing fresh juiciness and a long, dry and slightly smoky, earthy finish.

The grapes were carefully sorted in the vineyard and then again upon arrival at the
winery, berry by berry to ensure only the healthy, undamaged and best quality fruit was
vinified. Skin-contact fermentation took place using the traditional Georgian method of
clay jars known as Qvevri. These vessels have been recognised by UNESCO as a
process of important cultural heritage. The Qvevri in the Vachnadziani winery have a
950-litre capacity. The alcoholic fermentation lasted for one week, followed by a
maturation period of five months without skin contact.

Georgia is considered to be the ‘cradle of wine', as 8,000 year-old indigenous Rkatsiteli grape seeds have been found in clay vessels. Vachnadziani was established in 1953 and is one of the oldest wineries in Georgia. During the Soviet years the vineyard fell into disrepair, but now the vineyards and cellars have received considerable investment. The aim is to preserve their ancient wine culture while combining it with cutting edge technology. With over 1,000 hectares of vineyard, covering the Kakheti region in eastern Georgia and the Imereti, Racha and Lechkhumi regions in western Georgia, Vachnadziani cultivates 25 vine varieties - the majority of which are indigenous. Their exciting and dynamic range reveals all the charm of this historic winemaking land.

A beautiful, deep amber colour with an orange rim, concentrated aromas of walnuts, marmalade and sultanas leap from the glass. Made from 90% Oloroso (Palomino) and 10% Pedro Ximénez with 5 years together in barrel, the sweet and savoury blend is in perfect balance. A zingy, bitter orange freshness is replaced by roasted corn and biscuits on the finish. The texture is velvety, but not overly rich. Beautifully layered with dried apricots, walnuts and a long finish that is tangy and fresh. Serve chilled before or after a meal.

Sanlúcar de Barrameda sits on the estuary of the Guadalquivir river with Atlantic breezes coming off the ocean. Its microclimate impregnates the yeasts growing on the surface of the Manzanilla with a rare sea salt character.

The history of Bodegas Álvaro Domecq dates back to 1730, but it was in 1850 that the infamous Senora Pilar Aranda established her winery. She was the first woman

and today, current winemaker Ana Real upholds Pilar's commitment to the Jerez tradition, and produces some of this stunning region's most sought-after wines.

59 year-old vines, some of the oldest in South Africa. This complex and interesting Chenin is fermented and matured in clay eggs, producing distinctive notes of yellow apple alongside green melon and lime on the nose. This wine is beautifully structured on the palate, bursting with fresh yellow and white fruit flavours and a subtle yet distinctive finish.

Shannon’s Sémillon vineyards are planted on Table Mountain Sandstone soil, eight miles inland from the cooling breeze of the Atlantic Ocean. Matured in new French oak barrels for 3 months.

Perfumed nose of white flowers of tropical fruit (pineapple and mango) with hints of grapefruit, candied citrus fruits and sweet spices (ginger and cardamom). Very clear mineral notes on the palate with a long, elegant finish.

Fun Fact:  Weissburgunder (/vīs-bur-gūn-dur/) is another grape of the pinot family which originated in Burgundy, France. For that reason, the German word “burgunder” is used to mean pinot in the same sense French and English speakers use it. “Weiss,” like “blanc” in French or “bianco” in Italian, is the German word for the colour white. So Weissburgunder is the German name for Pinot Blanc/Bianco.

A full sweet, yet smooth and rich wine. A perfect wine to serve at the end of a meal with its heady nutty flavours, caramel notes and mouth watering backbone of acidity. Pair with ripe creamy cheeses for a full on taste sensation.
