Valenciso Graciano Rioja Alta 2019 Limited Parcel

Graciano only  represents about 2% of vine plantings in Rioja. It naturally has pronounced acidity and intense colour  which means it’s more commonly seen in blends The right conditions to make a wine solely from this variety don’t come around too often. April frosts in 2017 meant that only a few bunches were left on the vines by the time an almost perfect summer and autumn provided the long slow ripening conditions Graciano needs to do well. Fermented in concrete and aged for 24 months in Russian oak to perfectly embellish those sweet balsamic notes that accompany ripe fruits and notes of mocha. This is a stunning and rare wine not to be missed.
