The wines are made in Calabria in the toe of Italy’s boot, where native varieties reign supreme – Magliocco, Nerello, Mantonico, Greco and the region’s star grape, Gaglioppo.

The Cirò DOC is a picturesque corner of the Mediterranean, along the Ionian coast, in the eastern foothills of the Calabria region, a large peninsula that forms the toe to Italy’s boot. The Parrilla family, who own and run Tenuta del Conte, have been making wine here for four generations, the latest of which to take over the estate are Mariangela, Giuseppe, and Caterina.

In 2011 Mariangela Parrilla took over as winemaker. Mariangela takes a philosophical approach to winemaking, with the aim to let these traditional indigenous grape varieties speak for themselves and their terroir. Her wines are all organic, no herbicides or chemicals are used at any stage of the production process, she opts for spontaneous fermentations using indigenous yeasts, no filtration, and solely stainless-steel and bottle aging. Taking each wine vintage by vintage she lets them evolve and age “according to their own natural rhythm”, making each wine unique. This could be just one year in bottle before release or over 10 years. Not only does she capture the unique character of the grape variety but that of the vintage it's from too.

Together with a handful of other wineries in the area, Mariangela is part of “The Cirò Revolution”, a group formed to promote and protect their territory’s identity. They are dedicated to organic viticulture and minimal intervention wine making, they make traditional wines, in homage to their ancestors, from native grape varieties.

Intense ruby-red colour with a complex bouquet reminiscent of prunes, cherries and redcurrants.  The oak ageing adds a pleasant roasted and spicy aroma. On the palate it is full-bodied, supple and well-balanced with a long finish.

The nose is fragrant and full of ripe black fruit along with hints of cocoa, leather and liquorice. On the palate it is generous and full bodied, smooth yet firm tannin and a very long finish seasoned with sweet spice and toasty oak. This Cabernet expresses the distinct regional profile of Margaret River.

Giuaani Winery is located in the historic village of Manavi, the heartland of Georgian wine producing region, Kakheti. The Manavi village, cradled by the southern slopes of the minor Caucasus, is a home to one of the 29 PDOs (Protected Denomination of Origin) of Georgia. Its unique soil composition and microclimate provides perfect conditions for vine cultivation, especially for the Kakhuri Mtsvane grape variety, and for the production of Manavi PDO white dry wines.

A spicy nose with vegetal (nettle and mint) and balsamic varietal notes. A balanced structure with good savoury character and fresh acidity. It is produced exclusively in stainless steel to preserve its characteristic fresh notes.

This wine has an attractive shiny light ruby colour. It is both refined and very bright on the nose and palate. It opens to aromas of red fruits and berries. Pinot Noir is the heritage of Red Burgundy. The pinot noir grape was born in Burgundy and has carried the name since 1375. Pinot Noir is the hereditary source to all of the great red wines from Burgundy vineyards. Pinot Noir is jealously desired, but it is fragile and it requires very careful care during its vegetative period.

This Barolo is delightfully fresh and elegant. Along with its full and deep bodied centre it shows notes of  violets, menthol, warm spices like cardamom and dried fruits all rounded off with fine tannins and minerality that leave you wanting another glass.

COZs is a partnership between two Portuguese wine grape growers, Tiago Teles (Gilda, RAIZ) and António Marques-da-Cruz (Quinta da Serradinha), that started in 2015, in a 60-year-old vineyard of the Baga variety. In 2017, acquired the historic Vinha da Pena in Serra de Montejunto – a limestone formation from the Jurassic period, located 15 km from the Atlantic Ocean, in the Lisbon region. Pioneers in the introduction of organic agriculture as well as new concepts of pruning and soil fertilization in the Serra de Montejunto, we initiated an important transformation of practices and mentalities in mountain viticulture.

Liatiko is an indigenous Cretan grape variety , light ruby/garent in colour. The nose has a rich, ripe red fruit and sweet spice character. The palate is full, but has very soft tannins. 

Under organic conversion, this is a pale, shimmering ruby, hedonistic, unoaked light -coloured red with gorgeous perfumed, strawberry and raspberry liqueur notes, hints of game and fennel. Plump vibrant fruits, a refreshing thread of fine-pitched acidity, poised slightly grippy yet elegant tannins - hard to resist.

This spectacular vineyard is located at an elevation of around 1,000 meters (3,280 feet)
above sea level in the northern part of Hebron, an area known as the source of high quality
indigenous grapes in Palestine.

Ripe and spicy nose with complex aromas of violets, cassis, tobacco and liquorice. Full-bodied, with concentrated ripe plum and dried black fruit characters - all enhanced by fine tannins from well-integrated spicy oak. Beautifully balanced acidity with a sour cherry twist.

A seriously complex, generous style of Chianti Classico produced from San Felice's oldest vines and best plots of Sangiovese (80%), with a mix of other native varieties from their experimental vitiarium, including Pugnitello, Abrusco and Malvasia Nera.

A perfumed nose, with notes of wet stone. The perfect balance of sweet mulberry, red cherry and strawberry fruit, with some herbal (Eucalyptus and Pine) undertones, and a lovely lifted finish. This is beautifully balanced and delicious, and will be even more so in 3-5 years’ time.

This wine will benefit from being served slightly chilled (12 - 16ºC). It doesn't need to be decanted , and it's worth noting that colheitas can be enjoyed for a while after opening without losing freshness and vibrancy - optimum drinking time after opening is 2-3 months. 

We recommend decanting this wine to reveal an olfactory wave of glazed cherries, red currants, violets and mulberries, woven into a tapestry of fine French oak tones of cedar, freshly roasted coffee and bay.

The 2021 Barbaresco is a gorgeous, deep wine. Although the aromatics are a bit
closed, the 2021 shows gorgeous depth and a touch more palate presence than is
typically the case for this bottling. Dark and enveloping, the 2021 will offer a number
of years of very fine drinking. It is an impressive, classy wine from Produttori del
Barbaresco.

Concentrated and rich red with dark red and black fruit aromas and flavours. Notes of cedar wood, cigar box and cloves comes though on the bold, yet silky palate.
