Jamie Goode in Wine Anorak: 12.5% alcohol. A blend of local white varieties from Pedra Alta’s highest plots. Complex and nicely restrained with taut lemony fruit and some notes of pear and white peach. Lively and precise with good acidity and nice purity, this has the potential to develop with time, and it’s almost Burgundian in style. 94/100 

A delicious, medium-bodied, rustic yet smooth red made with native grapes Alfrocheiro and Baga. On the palate there are notes of stewed red berries, red fruit leather, spice and earth.

Kopke, a Port house specialising in aged tawny and aged white ports, is know to be the oldest established port producer, in existence since 1638 and has an incredible library of wine in its cellars.

Ruby red in colour and beautifully fresh and fruity on the nose and palate. Velvety tannins and a long, elegant finish. The Dão region of Portugal is known as their Burgundy - when you taste this lovely wine you will understand why.

Winemaker Andre is always interested in experimenting with new and old methods. He is the 5th generation of winemakers at Quinta do Montalto, the farm has 15Ha of Vineyards grown with organic certification since 1997 in Clay and Chalk soils under the Lisbon DOC Encostas D’Aire.

A bright, fresh and juicy red with floral aromas of violets, strawberries and red and black fruits, like raspberry and blackberry. A well balanced round body sustaining the notes of red fruit. The finish is elegant with fine long tannins.
