Evro originates from Rallo’s exceptional estate vineyards in Alcamo, in one of Sicilia’s premier growing areas. Pale yellow to straw yellow with light green reflections. The bouquet shows citrusy notes and marked apple scent. There is a distinct minerality on the palate – a trademark of Rallo’s wines – with rich mouth-feel and persistent finish. This is a seductive wine.
On the southernmost end of the Lake Garda, the largest Italian lake, Emilio Pasetto makes his Lugana. The combined effect of low rainfall and clayey soil allows the Turbiana grape to express all its tipicity and minerality, the Cascina Albarone is vinified without the use of oak and the result is a clean wine with intense fruits and zesty acidity in a firm and balance structure.
This wine is bright golden yellow with golden-green highlights. The nose is pronounced with floral notes, white peach and fresh herbs, white pepper; salty minerality. The body is juicy and concentrated. The delicate density and the subtle exotic notes are well balanced by its refreshing acidity; tantalising vibrancy; and long mineral-driven finish.
