Thursday 16th November 2023 is Beaujolais Nouveau Day.....
Brothers Didier and Alain Bataillard own 36 hectares of vineyards throughout St Amour, Chénas, Juliénas and Moulin-à-Vent as well as the Villages plains.

Historically, Beaujolais Nouveau was made to celebrate the end of the harvest. The wine was released early on the third Thursday in November, just after midnight. This quickly became known as “Beaujolais Nouveau Day” when producers raced to get their wine shipped to markets around the world by that date every year.
