Made from a blend of six indigenous and international grape varieties, this is a truly distinctive wine, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Graciano and Cabernet Franc, each adding a new dimension and complexity.
An intense ruby red colour with hints of garnet. Combining strength, intensity and elegance, with soft tannins to give it a roundness in the mouth. Fruity nose with a sweet spiciness. Lively and balanced.
The Nimbus Russus is an intense ruby – red colour with purple highlights. On the nose, the fruit expression is impressive with berries, dogwoods, plums and liquorice combined with notes of eucalyptus, black olives and intense black pepper. On the palate, there is an impressive spicy taste of black and green pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg which are complemented by earthy notes of fresh soil, and hints of dark chocolate. Velvety rounded tannins due to the 12 months ageing in old oak barrels. Potential age up to 10 years. Bottled with a natural cork closure, in order to ensure a unique ageing capacity.

The Merlot grape dominates the vineyards here – it thrives in the areas with cooler, moist, clayrich soils, while Malbec does better in the gravel and sanddominant parts of the Cotes de Bourg. The wines are of a younger drinking style, but will also age reasonably well for five to ten years.
Pronounced aromas of violet, bramble, dried fruit and a hint of lightly spicy oak. The palate is richly-flavoured with plum, wild cherry fruit, balsamic notes and firm but ripe tannins - leading on to a long, dry and savoury finish.
