Kamara Estate Pure Nimbus Russus Red Natural Wine 2016
The Nimbus Russus is an intense ruby – red colour with purple highlights. On the nose, the fruit expression is impressive with berries, dogwoods, plums and liquorice combined with notes of eucalyptus, black olives and intense black pepper. On the palate, there is an impressive spicy taste of black and green pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg which are complemented by earthy notes of fresh soil, and hints of dark chocolate. Velvety rounded tannins due to the 12 months ageing in old oak barrels. Potential age up to 10 years. Bottled with a natural cork closure, in order to ensure a unique ageing capacity.

Chocolate oak nicely melts into the background.Country: FranceRegion: Cotes de BourgABV:13.5%Grapes: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, MerlotCotes de Bourg is an appellation of the Bordeaux region, producing primarily red wine, but also a small quantity of white. The Merlot grape dominates the vineyards here – it thrives in the areas with cooler, moist, clayrich soils, while Malbec does better in the gravel and sanddominant parts of the Cotes de Bourg. The wines are of a younger drinking style, but will also age reasonably well for five to ten years.
