Tasted blind this could be confused with a top Chateauneuf du Pape - no kidding. This is boutique winemaking at it's best-----

The Biscardo Family have been making wine from their base in Soave for over 150 years and the operations are currently led by brothers Maurizio and Martino Biscardo. Renowned for their Proseccos and Corvina based reds in particular, they are also involved in a fascinating project in Puglia. During the course of Maurizio's long and illustrious career, he has consulted for well known wineries around Italy and in doing so he came across the vineyards that provide the grapes for their Puglian wines. Both the Pugliese and Veneto wines are characterised by a dangerous drinkability, aromatic purity and exceptional value for money
Barolo Bussia Magnum 2010Regular price £195.00
"2010 is the best Barolo vintage of the 21st century to date (along with 2001), and will go down in the books as one of Barolo's better vintages" Ian D'Agata writing in Decanter magazine (2019)
This is a very special wine! Typical Nebbiolo burnt sunset colour. Ripe meaty nose with hints of dried figs, leather, spice and generous ripe berry aromas. Rich plummy fruit, warm and spicy with herbal notes on the palate, good tannic structure and a level of acidity which means that, whilst drinking now, this wine will age and improve for many years.
