PUD PUD Cherry Gin starts life as our distilled PUD PUD Gin (winter seasonal Christmas gin) however, in July, towards the end of the cherry season we take delivery of the seconds and not so pretty lapin cherries from Horwood Cherries in Bucks. We add the PUD PUD Gin and fresh cherries to bourbon casks and rest them for a time to let the flavours and colour infuse. This gin is juniper forward with light spices and fruit from distilled Christmas pudding. Fresh orange peel adds a touch of additional citrus and it gains gentle sweetness from the cherries and soft vanilla notes from the oak cask. There is no added sugar. PUD PUD Cherry Gin is a rich, dark cherry red and best served with an Indian tonic water to open up the flavour. 50cl, 40% ABV.

Calvados Comte Louis de Lauriston is made in the farms of the Domfrontais regions.
The use of around 50% of pears in the production process, the single distillation and the granite soils of the region give Calvados Comte Louis de Lauriston a unique style.
Very fruity, dry and elegant, calvados Comte Louis de Lauriston was acknowledged by 178 medals in Spirit competitions. One of the 5 or 6 best Calvados.

Under stars, by a campfire, a gin was born. Campfire London Dry Gin pitches camp on the boundary between classic and contemporary styles. Ten botanicals including rooibos, sweet, fresh orange, hazelnut* and piney juniper are distilled with the finest UK wheat spirit. A citrus nose and juniper palate yield to a rich fruity middle and a sweet nutty finish.

Campfire Cask Aged, has dominant gin notes of juniper, citrus and coriander seed which are infused with a hint of caramel, fruity bourbon and vanilla. This is achieved through ageing in specially selected American oak ex-bourbon barrels. The wood also imparts a golden hue to this small batch gin. This is an oak aged gin but it’s not oaky or woody.

Whilst the ten botanicals in Campfire Navy Strength Gin remain anchored to that of our Campfire London Dry Gin, we’ve tweaked the ratios and raised the alcohol content to deliver a bigger, bolder expression. Juniper, citrus, caramelised fruit and peppery undertones define this robust, incredibly smooth multi-award winning gin. The perfect storm… in a bottle.

The ‘Aperitif’ of the Maison Montanaro originated a secret recipe studied and put into practice by our Master Distiller. In fact, this allows us to have a bright red tones without using chemical dyes, only natural plant extracts such as red apple, radish, cherry, carrot and sweet potato are used. The balance and unmistakable taste is given by citrus essences, herbs and natural aromas.

It is a Typical Italian aperitif perfect for after work, hence the name 6 p.m., in combination with the Vermouth Rosso Montanaro for a classic cocktail typical of the 1970s. Excellent on the rocks with soda.

The Hine Cigar Reserve XO is perfect for enjoying slowly with a great cigar (legal note - we have to say we are not recommending smoking......)

Deep and rich, yet also soft and smooth on the finish. A sign of a well aged and matured cognac.

Aged for a minimum of 10 years, its maturation in oak barrels has added to the complexity of this relatively young cognac but its flavours of spice and coffee, with pineapple in the background, are characteristic of top shelf Cognacs.

Hermitage Cognac was founded by David Baker for whom, more than sixty years ago, wine tasting became an obsession. Soon he was looking for drinks with more diverse and complex flavours. Cognac won the day and the company was formed. Hermitage seek history and provenance in their cognacs which are either vintages from the year of harvesting, or age statements, with defined years of barrel ageing. Cognacs from the Grande Champagne mature more slowly, but this is an advantage. They can remain in their casks for longer, drawing on the oak that will, after decades of ageing, provide the intense richness known as rancio.
Their cognacs are very special so only those from single estates are acceptable. Each handpicked cognac reflects the terroir of its origin and the dedicated skills, accrued over generations, of the family who produced it.
For decades Hermitage have striven to provide cognacs of the very highest quality. Their experience and understanding of old cognacs, and their bookmarks in history, has provided them with an intimate relationship with both the cellars from where they come and the cognacs themselves.

There comes a time when the ex-bourbon casks we use for our award winning Campfire Cask Aged Gin get a little ‘tired’, but as we've discovered they still have life in them. PUD PUD Cask Christmas gin was first launched as an experiment for World Gin Day 2018.

So what is PUD PUD Cask Gin? Well, more than you think, is the answer. First we rest our original PUD PUD Gin in our ex-bourbon casks (for a secret number of days). The gin is then decanted into a stainless steel drum so we can refill the bourbon casks with a ruby port and leave it for nearly a month. You’ve guessed it, we then empty out the port and replace it with the gin for another ageing session. The result, a bourbon/port cask aged Hertfordshire Christmas pudding gin.

Wondering what we do with the port? We’ve yet to decide. As it’s also now technically bourbon cask infused we should also make it available for sale. What do you think?

Our preferred serve is neat over ice but for a G&T we favour Fever-Tree Aromatic tonic water. As with PUD PUD Gin we like to savour a small piece of 70% dark chocolate as a side garnish.

The Christmas puddings in the PUD PUD Gin range are distilled and therefore the gins are gluten free.
