Carignan

Carignan is a black grape variety from Spain. It`s a perfect food wine.  The notes of dried cranberry, raspberry, licorice, baking spices, cured meat. 

The wine would be fruity, medium-bodied, with medium tannins, medium-high acidity.

Decant for at least an hour.

Food pairing: roast turkey, duck, quail, squab, chicken, roasted pork, beef, lamb, cheese, herbs, spices, vegetables (pumpkin, tomato, eggplant, roasted red pepper, garlic, grilled onion, cranberry, mushroom.
