Fun Fact:  Weissburgunder (/vīs-bur-gūn-dur/) is another grape of the pinot family which originated in Burgundy, France. For that reason, the German word “burgunder” is used to mean pinot in the same sense French and English speakers use it. “Weiss,” like “blanc” in French or “bianco” in Italian, is the German word for the color white. So weissburgunder is the German name for pinot blanc/bianco

Winzerhof Stahl is a dynamic young estate from one of Germany’s rising star winemakers, Christian Stahl. Christian has been making waves on the national and international wine scene since he established the estate in 2005, winning multiple accolades across the world in recognition of his talent and contribution to the world of wine.


Based in Franken, in Bavaria, Stahl makes wines in a region with a long and fruitful viticultural history, spanning over 1200 years. The Main River runs through the verdant countryside, where small villages of cobblestone paving and timber-framed houses dot the landscape. Auernhofen, where Winzerhof Stahl is situated, is one of these such villages.

Slightly off dry, fresh, zippy and full of lime citrus aromas and flavours. Perfectly balanced.

Completely lovely Sauvignon from an unexpected location. This has aromas of fresh cut grass and flint.  A fresh, crisp backbone adds structure and elegance. Wonderful match for shellfish, scallops and salads.

The Riesling that makes this "Melaphyr" wine are grown on the steep, south facing slopes of Schneider's estate that are rich in volcanic rock. The soil warms up quickly, providing perfect growing conditions.

The Allendorf family has lived and worked in the Rheingau for 700 years. Based in Oestrich Winkel in the heart of the Rheingau, the estate has grown dramatically over the last 60 years from 1.5 ha to 70 ha, making it one of the biggest family-owned wineries in the Rheingau.

Located between the Rhine River and the Black Forest, Burkheim produces lush and mineralic wines that are ideal companions to a wide range of modern cuisine. Bercher
produces Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc) and Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris). All the wines go through extended lees-aging and have a wonderful aging potential.

Elegant fruit character on the nose of citrus fruits and stone fruit with a little pineapple, bread notes, fragrant, delicately floral. On the palate, beautifully balanced and discreet; juicy middle weight, elegantly built, a lot of fruit on the nose, tight palate with a fine bite and a pleasantly dry finish.

Friedrich Becker and his family own around 24 ha of vineyards in southern Pfalz, on the Alsatian border. Friedrich Senior was the first of his family to stop selling grapes to the co-op and produce his own wines. Friedrich Junior took over in 2005 and has proven himself to be one of the best Pinot producers in Germany, winning the Gault Milau annual German wine guide’s award for the Best German Pinot Noir almost every year since.

Aromas of fresh hazelnuts, candle wax, citrus (lemon and lime) herbs, white peach and granny smith apple.
The palate is powerful and concentrated with fresh acidity, saltiness and a chalky minerality on the very long finish.

The Kalkofen vineyard is located on the western edge of the town of Deidesheim, which is in the heart of the Palatinate wine growing area. The name of the vineyard, Kalkofen, is an old limestone-brick oven in the middle-ages. There is a high content of limestone in this part of the area, which gives a lot of minerality to the vines and is noticeable in the fine wines produced from these Grand Cru (Grosse Lage) vineyards.

Beautiful Pinot Noir Beerenauslese with a delicate golden yellow with a touch of pink with a mouth-watering aroma. Aromas of citrus and yellow fruit paired with white blossoms and white chocolate, as well as the scent of dried rose petals and creamy notes. On the palate, it has a soft acidity which compliments its sweetness. The mouthfeel is round and soft with a harmonious finish.
