A delicious French Rose with all the style and sophistication that characterise French wines.

Vivid pale strawberry pink with aromas of crushed red berries and appealing soft fruity flavours. Dry with plenty of fruit with some crunchy acidity on the finish. This is an easy drinking fresh rosé with real character.

Vinified from the local Tannat grape variety with some Cabernet Franc and Merlot, harvested fully ripe in October. In the winery the secret of modern rosé vinification is to capture all the delicate aromatics and flavours of red grape varieties but then to cool vinify the pale-coloured juice with all the expertise of white wine vinification.

This is superb value for money rosé, 100% Cabernet Franc rose from the slopes of Stellenbosch's Simonsburg Mountain.

Made from a blend of six indigenous and international grape varieties, this is a truly distinctive wine, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Graciano and Cabernet Franc, each adding a new dimension and complexity. 

The grapes were hand picked and aged in a mixture of American and French oak barrels for 6 -12 months. The result is a full-flavoured wine, with intense berry aromas, beautifully integrated sweet oak and hints of leather and spice.

Deep and concentrated on the nose, it opens up on the palate to reveal crisp cassis fruit with smoky edges and a hint of green pepper all hung on a ripe firm structure. Excellent balance. Excellent wine.

Harvested at full seed ripeness. Cold macerated uncrushed in open fermenters for 10 days. Punched through 3 times daily. 3 weeks alcoholic fermentation, only free run used. 100% malolatic fermentation in barrel. 24 months barrel maturation in 1st and 2nd fill Sequin Moreau 300l barriques. 4 years bottle maturation at 14°C. Terroir is very gentle, southerly with chalk soil and calcrete formations. Climate is moderate summer with low night temperatures, cold winter.

This domaine is run by Pascale Lavigne and her husband, Antoine Véron. Based in
Varrains in Saumur-Champigny, they own 38 hectares of vineyard (36 hectares of
Cabernet Franc and two of Chenin Blanc). They cultivate their land sustainably and
have a solid reputation for producing quality wines.

Dolomite wines express great purity of fruit and balanced elegance. The nose shows dark and red cherry. Dark berries, spiciness and herbs linger on the palate. The wine has great purity of fruit with a hint of wet-stone minerality and a velvet soft finish.

This blend from the Bordelaise specialists of Banghoek Valley is brim full of ripe, bramble and plummy fruit with dark curranty corners. Bright, fresh and gently leafy on the finish.

Silky, velvety, smooth and simultaneously plush. Ripe plums, hedgerow fruit, cocoa, cedar and spice, cigar box flavours makes for an enveloping mouthful. Complex, elegant and beautifully integrated, the oak is seamlessly balanced with the fruit. Lingering and harmonious with not a single element out of place.

Remarkably great value for money Bordeaux. The majority of it is Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend yielding a wine with ripe and concentrated blackcurrant fruit, balanced oak and good structure. A typical St-Estèphe full of power and attitude.

Rich, dark purple in the glass with an intense perfume of cassis, plum and violets. On the palate, it is full and rich, with blackcurrant and raspberry fruit characters balancing well with soft tannins, and hint of classic St-Estèphe minerality.

Barrel fermented for 20 months

A luminous and lifted red blend from Mr Badenhorst. Predominantly Shiraz, with Grenache, Tinta Barocca and some Cinsault from mostly old bushvines growing in the decomposed granite soils of the Paardeberg mountain. Very youthful, with a kaleidoscope of aromas - cherries, blackberries and redcurrant coulis, and multi-layered floral aromas-roses, lavender, pink peppercorns and violets.

You’ve probably heard of the quaint beach town of Hermanus, situated on South Africa’s
famous Whale Coast. Between 1855 and 1902, it was called Hermanuspietersfontein. In
1902, the local postmaster decided to shorten the name of the town to make addressing
letters to the locals easier.

150 years later, the wine farm Hermanuspietersfontein, or HPF for short, craft outstanding
wines with a serious sense of place. Their grapes come from Sondagskloof (they produce
90% of WO Sondagskloof wine), which competes with Elgin and the Ceres Plateau for
South Africa’s coolest wine growing region. This area is perfectly suited to Bordeaux
varietals and, with the exception of Shiraz, is exclusively planted with them.
The Afrikaans wine names might look like a bit of a mouthful, but they are good fun;
Bloos (‘blush’), Kaalvoet Meisie (‘barefoot girl’), Kat Met Die Houtbeen (‘cat with the
wooden leg’), Posmeester (‘postmaster’), Kleinboet (‘little brother’) and Swartskaap
(‘black sheep’).

Deep-ruby in colour, red-fruit and cedar notes. The wine is fresh on the palate with the notes of redcurrant and cranberry. The finish is long.
