South African Old Vine Project Tasting with DaschBosch
After a recent buying trip to the Breedekloof Valley in South Africa, Penny is very excited to share some of her fantastic new discoveries with our you.
It is DaschBosch winemaker, WS Visagie's turn to visit us here in the UK. He will be presenting 6 of his small parcel wines telling us all about the the Old Vine Project.
WS Visagie crafts elegant wines and experimental wines whilst upholding traditional methods of wine-making and craftsmanship, since 1754, when the farm land was granted by the Governor of the Cape of Good Hope, Rijk Tulbagh. Their wines reflect the vastness of the South African landscape and reflect the decades of vines growing in one place, in the unyielding sun, the cold winter rain, the storms and winds, on a mountain, on a plain somewhere which produces these delicate but powerful wines.
We will be tasting:
DaschBosch Methode Ancestrale NV (Pet Nat)
DaschBosch Mossiesdrift Steen (Chenin Blanc) 2021
Daschbosch Avon Clairette Blanche 2020
DaschBosch Old Vine Cinsault (Red) 2020
Daschbosch Skin Contact (Orange wine) 2022
Daschbosch Old Vine Hanepoot 2016 (Sweet)
Your £28 ticket includes cheese and meat sharing platters, with some biltong thrown in for good measure of course! Please contact Penny or Geraldine directly if you have any allergies or dietary requirements.
