The rich-styled Malmsey is the most famous of the Madeira grape varietals, located today mostly in the region of São Jorge on the north of the island. The wine is matured in small oak casks, which are naturally heated for 10 years at the Blandy?s Wine Lodges in the centre of Funchal.

This wine has a marmalade, fig and sugar-scented bouquet with a clear and persistent zingy acidity on the palate.

A superb accompaniment to any cheese board, but also desserts such as rich chocolate cakes.
