What do you love most about running your business and the wine industry?

'Every day is different for me. That's what I like about running a growing business. There is never a dull moment when dealing with staff, customers, and wine suppliers. What's not to love about the product I sell? I also have a great team who support me.'

Geraldine Shearer - Manager

Geraldine has been working at Cellar Door Wines Since 2019, her love of wine was instilled by her foodie/ wine enthusiast Dad who insisted she taste everything as a young child. She holds the WSET Level 3 certificate and is very good at food and wine pairing.

What do you love most about working at Cellar Door Wines?

'The variety of different things to do every day, so every day can look different and there are always more skills to learn or develop. We have some really wonderful people as customers, getting to know them and their wine tastes is fun and I genuinely get pleasure from introducing people to a good bottle of wine, educating and broadening people's taste. It feels less like a sales job and more like telling a friend about the new exciting things you have tried.'

Amjuly Del Carpio - Wine Advisor

Amjuly is Peruvian and is recently settled with her husband in St Albans. She has background in making and selling cider! Amjuly has been working with Cellar Door Wines for 1 year and in that short time has achieved her WSET levels 1,2 and 3!

What do you love most about working at Cellar Door Wines?

'What's not to like, not only am I surrounded by fantastic wines from around the world but I also get to taste many beautiful wines and learn about them. There is so much to learn. I'm not just selling bottles of wine, I’m selling bottles that are all very individual and have their own DNA. Learning about the process and their journey prior to arriving on my shelves amazes me. I’ve completed my WSET Level 1. I’m looking forward to starting my Level 2.'
