Sumarrocca: Hailing from Penedes, the home of Cava, Bodegas Sumarroca make excellent sparklers that belie the price. Generations of the Sumarroca family have devoted themselves to making Cava. They practice sustainable farming, harvest at night and only use freerun juice, selling off the pressed juice to other bodegas. The winery is terraced along the hillside so that all movement of wine is gravityfed. The whites are blends of the traditional Cava varietals of Macabeo, Xarello and Perellada with a small amount of Chardonnay, while their Rosado's are made from Pinot Noir. Design driven with their packaging, their top wine, Nuria, is in a specially designed bottle that is unique to the winery.
