Intense red cherry colour, with subtle brick touches. The first sensation on the
nose is fragrant, blackberry infused, blueberries, macerated plums opening to
black pepper and clove explosion, as the wine oxygenates with time it gives way
to the toast fineness showing remarks to vanilla, pure black chocolate and a
balsamic touch.
In mouth it is delicate, leaving a sweet tactile feeling, velvety and full of fruit.

The 2005 vintage, classified as “Excellent” by the Regulatory Council of the Rioja
denomination of origin, was one of the Rioja’s historic vintages.
The 2005 winter was characterized by low rainfall and absence of frost. In Rioja, bud
break began according to the usual date, in mid-April. During flowering and fruit set,
the weather was very favourable. Rainfall was moderate but well distributed
throughout the vine cycle. The harvest began in Cenicero on September 26th and on
