Malbec World Day has been celebrated on the 17th of April every year since 1953 , to commemorate the day when Argentine president Domingo Faustino Sarmiento made it part of his manifesto to turn around Argentina's wine industry. He procured the help of a French soil expert to find the best grapes to suit the Argentine Terroirs.

St Saviour's Beer and Fizz Festival 2024
Follow @ssbeerfizzfest for more details on the weekend’s line up. As well as a line up of the best craft ale and beer in Hertfordshire we will be offering more than 12 different sparkling wines by the glass and bottle. Lots of great will be bands playing throughout the weekend, plus an excellent choice of street food vendors to keep you energised.
